DERWENT INKTENSE PENCILS - SET OF 72

Derwent Inktense Pencils are as versatile as watercolor pencils, but with a firmer texture that allows them to perform with the brilliant intensity of traditional pen-and-ink. These pencils are available in strong, vibrant colors which work beautifully on their own or can be mixed together to create rich, subtle tones. The pure, clean colors are perfect for bold expressive drawings, including fashion illustration, landscapes, greeting cards, and more. This set includes all of the colors in the Set of 36, plus Cadmium Yellow, Sicilian Yellow, Golden Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Burnt Orange, Mid Vermilion, Scarlet Pink, Hot Red, Carmine Pink, Crimson, Deep Rose, Thistle, Dusky Purple, Dark Purple, Deep Violet, Lagoon, Navy Blue, Deep Blue, Dark Aquamarine, Green Aquamarine, Mallard Green, Vivid Green, Beech Green, Hooker’s Green, Light Olive, Spring Green, Fern, Amber, Oak, Red Oxide, Madder Brown, Dark Chocolate, Sepia Ink, Chinese Ink, Payne’s Gray, and Neutral Gray. Derwent pencils
Added by Draak-Shadow on 06/02/11

If used properly, the range of colours is amazing and they truly look different from watercolour pencils when wet, there's a really vibrant opaque shine to them, just like ink. The non-soluble outliner is good as well, even though I don't use it often.

I use these for colouring in images stamped on the cards I make. If you just need a little bit of colour, then I find having a wet paintbrush and dabbing the end of the pencil works best. Use them with watercolour paper for best results. The colours are really intense so water them down if you require paler colours.
